Working with acrylic ink took me out of my comfort zone. Before using the vivid staining liquid, my relationship with a flat surface, be it canvas, paper, or something else, involved efforts of precision and control.

Working with the warm and wise Maja Ruznic  brought me deep satisfaction and the new delight of trusting what I could not fully control. This collection, created in late 2016, includes color study exercises as well as portraits of my family and friends. Eventually, all of these paintings became the portfolio I submitted for my grad school application.
